There is always a good time to be found at the historic Bishop Hill, Illinois, founders community, or the Carl Sandburg birthplace home or Rail Museum in Galesburg, just to name a few of the local attractions. For history and commerce together, visit the Seminary Street Historical Commercial District. The Galesburg and Abingdon are both over 150 years old, so the history and folk lore abound. For small town America, Galesburg is not particularly shy on shopping opportunities.
