A Bit of News
Since I do not care for spam myself, I am reluctant to expose you to it as well. Therefore, I was
not entirely happy with the idea of posting your email address on our website. After discussing
this issue at length with the webmaster, I have decided to try something a little different.
I am now using our server's capability for creating email forwarders. I create a forwarder for your ad
so that the email posted will be firstname.lastname@chicagolandmgclub.com. Any email sent to this address
will be automatically forwarded to you by our server. The real beauty is that, after your ad expires,
the forwarder also gets killed and any spam that was going to that address no longer knows where to go.
CARS FOR SALE
Former Member 1980 MGB
Red, 63770 + miles. This car has had a lot of recent work and upgrades including: new front suspension,
new dash, new windshield, exhaust, electrical overhaul, battery, Weber carburetor and much more. Car
drives great, starts right up and the engine runs strong with excellent oil pressure. The tires are in
excellent condition. Convertible top is like new. All it needs is body snaps and sockets installed. Little
if any rust. This car has been stored indoors for most of its life. Looks Great and runs well. Pictures
available upon request.
$5,500 OBO.

Member 1968 MGB Roadster
This car is in need of total restoration. It was in my garage for over 20 years before being moved last autumn,
and it was the victim of an amateur restoration before I acquired it. Always on the back burner, always the
next project, never making it to center stage on my TTD list. BRG. It is an overdrive car, wire wheels, with
good condition non-original engine. Comes with: two new front fenders, new stow away top, original seats and
interior, also set of 1969 seats (which have headrest & locking back), original engine (now disassembled).
Priced at $2,300 as you see it in the photos. Without O/D deduct $700; without new fenders deduct $1,000;
without new top deduct $200; without aluminum hood deduct $100. This is neither a parts car nor a
"wheeler-dealer" quick-buck car; properly restored will be worth $high teens and a true classic to own.

Non-Member 1975 50th Anniversary Edition MGB
I would really like a MGB enthusiast to buy and restore this car. I have too many irons in the fire and a 2
and 6 year old that keep me busy in my spare time. Built 7/75. Last driven in 1990. Engine does turn freely
by hand and with starter. 97,000 original miles. Air pump is missing but the brackets and hoses are there.
Does have some typical rust, not as bad as most, in the rockers, rear wheel well lips, and a 2” x 6” spot by
the drivers feet. Front clip is good. Trunk is solid. Car has a full set of 5 wire spinoff rims.
Clean Illinois title.
Asking $1000.
