Victor_L'Heureux Attendance: 25 members

The meeting was called to order at 8:05 pm by Co-chairman, Jim Evans. New visitor (and new member) Tom Setchell was recognized and welcomed as a new member.

In Memory – Jim announced that he has received notice of three CMGC members that have past away recently. They are Dave Mullis, Ed Fila and Fred Schipp. A moment of silence was observed for these departed members.

Current Car Projects – Dave Lieb announced that he finally obtained a car he had been looking for in Reno, Nevada. He flew into Reno and returned to Illinois in his new Spriget via a scenic route that included Oceanside, CA and the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Dave Bralich will be doing an engine swap and engine rebuild during Easter weekend. All are welcome to lend a hand in the rebuild process.

Past Events - The club-sponsored 12th Annual British Car Swap Meet held Sunday, February 24th at the DuPage County fairgrounds was a success. Over 750 customers viewed the stuff displayed and sold by 95 vendors. Estimated proceeds will be about $3,000 for the club treasury.

Upcoming Events – With the hint of better weather coming, a number of events are scheduled. To start off, a Spring Tune-up will be held this year on Saturday April 26th. The Spring Chicken Tour around Lake Geneva will be held on Sunday, May 18th. See additional details in the Driveline or on the Website.

Project Car – To date, no club member has submitted a bid for the car. Jim noted that in April the club will be soliciting commercial advertising and on-line auction sites for a buyer.

Jim noted that on a monthly basis the club receives a number of invitations to various upcoming events. These include car shows, swap meets, rallies, etc. sponsored by other car clubs and organizations. Some of this month’s mail include: Classics & Chrome in Loves Park, IL on April 19-20th; 10th Annual All British Car & Cycle Show sponsored by Boots and Bonnets in Rockford, IL; and British Car Show sponsored by Illinois St Andrews’s Society on June 21st. If you would like more information please contact Jim Evans for the details.

50/50 Raffle – Tony Muzereus won a $25 gift certificate from Victoria British Ltd and new member Tom Setchell received the $11 cash award.

Respectfully submitted, - Victor L’Heureux
