MGA steering rack paarts explosion

Our first patient will be an MGA steering rack, pre-cleaned and on the bench, so no crawling around the car required. We will be disassembling it, cleaning and inspecting internal parts, replacing wear parts, seals and gaskets, and adjusting shims and ball joints in a few places as required. End of day should see it reassembled and in fresh paint ready for installation. The MGA part has much in common with all MG Steering racks. Any club member wanting to rebuild their own MG steering rack is welcome to bring one along, as we may have time to do two or three in one day. But please contact Barney Gaylord in advance to arrange to have necessary parts in hand if you want to have it reassembled the same day.
