MINUTES FOR MEETING
April 19, 2004

    The meeting was called to order at 8:02 by Bill Mennell. We had 42 members and one guest, Greg Hoeft, ’46 TC, present. One new member was in attendance, Chris Shepard, proud owner of a ’69 MGC GT.

      Dave Bralich is finishing up repainting and refinishing his ‘B.’

PAST EVENTS

      The Missouri Endurance Rallye was held the weekend of 3/20 and 21. John Shroeder reported on it and had a great time. Kudos to the Bomber Brothers on actually finishing one.
      Paul Urquart led us in the Spring Tour on 4/18. We had great weather and everyone had a great time. Twelve cars attended.

UPCOMING EVENTS

      Saturday. April 24, Cowboy is hosting a windshield installation tech session.
      Sunday, April 25, is our annual Spring Tune Up Party at Quality Tire in Darien. Thanks to Mark Leuck for hosting it again.
      Sunday, May 2 is our Spring Chicken Rallye. John Shroeder rallyemaster. Check our website for details.
      Sunday, May 16 is our Spring Autocross held at the Warrenville AMC theaters. This is subject to change, check our website.
      Saturday, May 22, an Emissions Testing tech session will be held at Dave Bralich’s. Call Dave for more info.
      May 22-30 is the annual British Car Week. Drive your British car as a daily driver.
      May 30 is the Healey Club autocross. We are invited. [This will not be a CMGC points event, as it conflicts with Champagne British Car Festival.]

OLD BUSINESS

      Dave Ransome reported on regalia.
     Jim Evans reported on our tools. We are adding an exhausts analyzer to our collection.
     Dave Lieb reported on thelibrary.
     Oscar and Diane Gonzales and Roger and Shirley Goebbert went on the LBC Company’s Tour of England. They had an exceptional time.

NEW BUSINESS

      Congratulations to Tom and Judy Josefek on becoming grandparents.
      Wade Keene reported on upcoming events. Autocrosses will be held in Joliet on June 13, Sept 19 and Oct 17. One will be held at Warrenville on Aug 29.
      The club is looking to purchasetiming equipmen. We are in need of a laptop, Windows 98 issue 2 and 390Mhz or faster. If you have one you would like to donate or know where we can purchase one at a reasonable price, contact Wade.
      John Twists 5 year reunion will be held the weekend of Aug 13. Because of this, our Abingdon weekend has been scheduled for 9/24 and 9/25.
      Our Christmas party has been set for Dec 4.

      The 50/50 raffle: Some vintage magazines and a teeshirt were donated by Vintage Motorsport for the 50/50 raffle. Chirs Shepard won both the magazines and the monetary ($30) prize. He generously donated the money back to the club. Dave Bralich won the teeshirt.
