MINUTES FOR MEETING
June 16, 2003

    The meeting was called to order by Bill Mennell. There were 33 members and guests in attendance. One new member, Dave Weinstein, ‘74B was present as well as one guest, Tim Schafer, ‘79 Midget and a ’76 Midget that needs work.

OLD BUSINESS

Mike Hirsch     May 25th, Healey Gymkhana, several members attended.
    June 1st, Windy City Morgan Autocross, again the CMGC was represented.
    June 8th, Lands End Rally, put on by Tom and Judy Josefek. Eleven cars were in attendance and all finished except one, who planned to leave early. Consensus was that it was one of the better rallies held by the club. It was considered a success since at the end of the rally all drivers and navigators still were talking to each other.
    June 14th, Steering Rack Rebuild Tech Session hosted by Barney Gaylord. Approximately 8-10 people attended, started at 10:00 and ended at 8:30.
    June 15th, Miata-MG Challenge. Attended by 7 mrembers of the CMGC.
    June 15th, British Car Field Day in Sussex, WI. Attended by Steve Selan. There were approximately 280 cars, all British being shown.

NEW BUSINESS

    June 19-22, NAMGBR Convention in St. Louis. There will be a rally, car show and tours. If you wish to caravan, contact Kim Tonry or Bill Hedrich. They plan on taking old Route 66 down.
    July 6th, Flying Low Rally presented by Dave Lieb. You will be looking for airports in the Chicagoland area. Check elsewhere in the driveline or on our website for further information.
    July 13th, MGB Kingpin Tech Session, will be held in Wilmette, Illinois. Check with Dave Bralich or our website for details and directions.
    July 18-20th, Road America Camping Trip. Our annual camping trip on the weekend of the Brian Redmon challenge. Check with Jake or Ann Snyder for further details.
    Aug 15-17th, our annual Abingdon weekend. Still time to register. Check with Jim Evans if you want further information. Next year this weekend will be moved to October due to John Twist’s reunion picnic.
    Bill Mennell is looking for suggestions for programs for future meetings. Contact him if you have any ideas.
    We are stil looking for volunteers for our Christmas party. Contact Bill Hedrich.
    We are still accepting donations of model cars for the Mercy Home for Boys.

    The 50/50 raffle was won by Dave Clark, a prize of $31.
