David Lieb Classified Information

Now that I have been at this job for a couple of months and made a lot of the possible mistakes, I think I should spell out a few of our de facto policies, all of which are subject to violation at any time.

Classified ads are posted as a service to our members. There is no profit motive and we do not charge for ads, but we do reserve the right to reject ads for any reasons whatsoever, or even without benefit of reasons. We expect the ads to reflect some MG content, even if it is as a tow vehicle for your MG.

Member ads will be printed in the next three issues of the Driveline and posted on the website for 90 days.

Non-member ads for reasonably complete MGs may be printed in the next issue of the Driveline as space permits and will be posted on the website for 30 days.

Non-member ads for parts may run if it is an exceptional item, but don’t count on it.

We try not to run ads for non-members that would involve excessive interstate travel on the part of our members. Otherwise it makes it hard for me to figure out how our fine members actually benefit from the ad.

If we are running an ad for you, please let us know if the item is sold so that we can make room for more ads and so that other members aren’t disappointed when they call you about the item.

My primary goal is to see that as many MGs as possible wind up in happy homes.

David Lieb
