MINUTES FOR MEETING
September 16, 2002

Meeting came to order by President Dave Bralich at 8:00 PM. Thirty nine members were present.

Vehicle status reports: Bill Hedrick reported that his Midget, Mr Bill, is having battery problems.

OLD BUSINESS

Bill Mennell     The Lucas Memorial Night Rallyee was held on August 31st. 7 MGs and 10 Miatas participated. Dave and Sandra Ranson won the event in an MGB.
    The 16th annual British Car Festival was held at Morraine Valley Community College on Sunday September 8th. 650 British cars of various makes were on display. A question arose about the marshalling of the cars. Our representative to BCU will discuss this at their next meeting.

NEW BUSINESS

    Kelvin Palmer talked about the use of a chassis dynometer for MGs. [See article in this issue of Driveline].
    The Synders reported that this winter’s Amtrak Trip is scheduled for January 17-19, 2003. Exact destination is not yet finalised, but the Corvette Museum in Kentucky is a possibility
    The AMC Autocross at the AMC Theaters in Warrenville is scheduled for Sunday October 6th.
    Mike Olsen discussed the upcoming Fall Color Tour to be held on Sunday October 13th. It will start at the Belvidere Oasis (NW Tollway) and will be liesurly scenic drive.
    The Halloween Rallyee is scheduled for Sunday October 27th, starting at the cemetary on Main St. in Downers Grove. Costumes are encouraged.
    The October club meeting on the 21st will be the club’s 26th anniversary party.
    It was brought up that the past-president should sit on the board of directors. A brief discussion follwed and will continue at the October meeting.
    With the end of the year approaching, the club is again looking for volunteers to run for the various elected offices. Nominations will start at the October meeeting.
