EDITOR’S CORNER
Well, the 2013 Driving Season has been put together and now it is time to get these events on your personal calendar. I for one, am looking forward to the 2-day tours – Dan Herman’s ‘Secrets of Jo Daviess County’ and John Schroeder’s ‘Wine, Cheese and Beer Tour’. It is a great experience to enjoy driving in the ‘back country’ on winding roads with a contingency of over 20 cars. The after-hours gatherings are also quite eventful. Also check out the many single-day events listed in the calendar. There’s a little something for everyone.

Joel-Paul Brossard this year has put an effort in publishing the various competitive driving events in this newsletter. You and your car are pitted against the clock on an assigned course – hardly going past 2nd gear. It is an exhilarating experience. This should be the year that the CMGC makes a showing in these great events.

It was ‘all hands on deck’ for the annual Swap Meet & Autojumble. Over twenty volunteers were on hand to perform setup tasks on Saturday night, marshal the vendors’ setup, man the club booths and clean up after the event. The effort was worth it. Check out the article in this newsletter.

In this month’s issue:
> This issue is dedicated to the Annual Club meeting and distribution of the Driving Awards – check it out!
> The Annual Swap Meet was a success – info inside.
> Time to start planning your driving season – Dan Herman has a suggestion for you!
