EDITOR’S CORNER
In late fall when the sky is dreary and it’s getting a little cold to be out driving with a top down, you thoughts drift to ‘what can I do this winter to get ready for next driving season?’ Well John Schroeder and Jim Evans have been thinking this every year for the past few years and this year ‘bit the bullet’ and took on major projects.

Now I know Jim Evans has been working on his 1977 MGB off & on for the past couple of years, but this year seems to be the final year to complete. John, on the other hand, has been saving his pennies for a new paint job – all the panels the same color – he says. You can check out John’s progress in this month’s issue and Jim’s restoration work will be next month.

I too wanted to get some work done on my 1967 MGB, but getting a left knee replacement took precedence this year. My goal is to be able to work the clutch before the Spring Tune-up in Willowbrook this April. Wish me luck!

In this month’s issue:
> It is not too early to sign up for this year’s ‘Secrets of Jo Daviess County’ – 16 cars already!
> Autocross update – see what you need to participate.
> Check out the progress John Schroeder has made with updating his 1977 MGB.
> Handy hints to keep peace in your household while doing DYI car stuff.
