EDITOR’S CORNER

Fall driving is rather bittersweet for me. It is relaxing to be cruising down country roads awash with brilliant colors of fall and the feel of crisp air on your face. On the other hand, the crisp air is a reminder the temperature will be dropping soon to near zero and the car will be packed away for the winter. In a few more weeks most of us will be thinking about storage maintenance and planning the winter repair projects. Where did the summer go??

In this month’s issue:
> Autocross results from the August Miata Autocross at Alexian Field
> Check out a member’s book reviews of Welding techniques.
> Highlights of the British Car Festival in Palatine sponsored by British Car Union.
> Is there a connection between Shakespeare and MG’s? Find out inside!
> Check out the many upcoming events planned for CMGC members.
> Tales of the Mongrel – by Ralph Arata.

A special thanks to Kate Skegg for the many pictures provided for this month’s events.
