The Steering Column by Maynard Hirsh, Club President Happy New Year! Itıs hard to believe that 1999 is here already. I think back over the many happy miles driven in my MG last year, the fantastic fellowship of other MG owners, the various events and the many good times shared with great people. I look at what has happened with the club in the last year. At this time we have 307 memberships, an all-time high. We have an activity calendar that is the envy of many clubs. We always have an extraordinary turnout at meetings. Now is the time to plan for 1999. Get to the catalogs and see what your MG could use. The calendar is out, so reserve the Landıs End, Abingdon and Summer Picnic weekends. Resolve to attend more club functions. Most of all though, plan to get as many happy miles in your MG as possible. Safety fast!
