Our club was founded in 1976 as the Chicago Chapter of American MGB Association. 1987 was the first year for which annual awards were given out. The first Awards Banquet was held in mid winter 1988 at Phillies in Willowbrook, Illinois. The club adoped the name "Chicagoland MGB Club" in 1988. The "B" was formally removed from the name in 1995, making us the "Chicagoland MG Club".
