AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS RALLY
Day 63 in Northern Michigan, July 2, 2000
THE VINTAGEANT COMPETITORS
Photos and web pages by Barney Gaylord
1938 Packard Touring Sedan - leading the Vintageant class with only
1 hour 20 minutes total penalty for the entire rally at the end of day 63.
The determining factor to enter this class is that the first production car of your particular model had to have been produced prior to World War II. The 1953 Citroen 11B Traction, the 1952 Citroen 2CV, and the 1948 Fiat M'cento all qualify on this count, but the 1941 Pontiac Chief does not, as it was the first year of a new model (after the start of WW-II). The cars are presented here from left to right in the order of their rally placement on day 63, leading cars first.
