Subject: A Loss

To those who have participated in the Secrets Tour:

I am in mourning. The storms of last week have taken away a friend. The Georgetown Bridge, an object of fun for us on some of the tours, is gone. The floodwaters of the Apple River were so immense that the bridge was torn from its pilings. Photos attached.

There ain’t no way the county would have the funds or the interest in replacing it. Remember how it creaked and groaned and rattled when you drove over it?
