July 6 - A view of Dawson City and the Yukon River from Midnight Dome. The trip up was less than six miles, and the weather was cool enough, but between the slow speeds and the continuous steep first and second gear grade, the MGA nearly suffered heat stroke. One short rest stop was enough for a full recovery, and the trip turned out not to be a problem. Too bad we couldn't stay to watch the midnight sun. You really can see it from up here. Carol can attest to that since she was on this very spot on June 21, 1977.
