The MGA With An Attitude
MOWOG in Australia - CKD-102MO
Before anything else, we should trust that MOWOG means "Morris Wolseley MG".
You might want to first review "MOWOG Trade Mark" in the history section.
Morris was getting heavily involved in production in Australia, especially after WW-II. With lots of "home production" going on, the MOWOG logo with the outline of the continent of Australia was used to designate Australian made parts. (But not before 1935 when Wolseley Motors was merged into Morris Motors, then promoted as the Nuffield Organization).
On a side note (and another front), Austin Motor Company Ltd was founded in 1905 by Herbert Austin. In 1952 this was merged into the Nuffield Organization forming a new holding company British Motor Corporation (BMC) Limited, but keeping Austin's separate identity. The trademark(s) MG/Austin were then commonly displayed together.
