The MGA With An Attitude
HORN MOUNTING - ET-109A
Above left, horn mounting as original. Above right, with added protective tube on the wires.
At right, photo from top with body removed (ignore the cut-off round cross tube). Horn clears the original optional style sway bar.
Below left and right, with aftermarket anti-sway bar mounted underneath the front frame extension.
When I installed my aftermarket sway bar below the frame, I turned the horns around to point forward so the horn bell end would not hammer on the sway bar.
The brackets are right and left handed. The bend is not 90 degrees, but matches the angle on the front frame extension. Note also the coiled part of the horn belongs on the bottom so it will not retain water.
