"Where can I find a chart of original exterior colors WITH samples?"
See offsite here: http://morrisgarages.ch/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Colours.pdf (3.1-MB pdf file). Reproducing an exact rendition of an original factory paint color in original paint material would be very difficult. There is no such thing as an MGA in original factory paint that is not faded with time. Also colors of sample chips can vary widely between different computer monitors.
You can start with various manufacturer's' color codes above. If you visit an automotive paint supply shop you may find some print copy of color chips for these codes. If the chips are old stock original printing they may be faded. If the chips are modern printing they may more closely illustrate the results of modern paint materials. That may or may not be a close resemblance of the original colors. Traditionally you could find paint color chips along with the paint mixing codes. That could work as long as the pant base material was original, but in recent years the paint materials have changed rather dramatically. Today it would be very difficult to match the exact appearance of original paint using currently available modern paint materials.
For what it's worth, you can find color chips for Austin Healey and MG cars in scanned video form here:
www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibrary/acl_files/ahmg.html.
Problem there is that video monitors have a wide range of display colors and no two will give the same color results. The webmaster's scanner would also introduce color errors. And there is no telling how much the color chips may have faded in the decades between original issue and recent posting. The only way to get close with color chips is to find an original issue print sheet and hope it hasn't faded beyond recognition.
For a general impression of what these colors may look like on your car you can find pictures of cars here:
www.mgcars.org.uk/mgccmga/gallery/1500_colours.shtml
www.mgcars.org.uk/mgccmga/gallery/1600_colours.shtml
Here is a link to Paul Tegler's web site containing lots of color reference photos for MGBs. A few (very few) of these colors are the same as for MGA. Maybe it helps (or maybe not). www.teglerizer.com/mgcolors
Next suggestion is to visit some car shows, see if you find a color you like, and ask the car owner for the color and paint information. That's about all I have. Hope it helps.
