The first step in removing the flange from the Speedi-Sleeve is to make a small break in the flange. Best way to do that is to use a side cutter to make a small cut in the flange, most of the way from the edge to the root of the flange. Since the flange is only 0.010" thick, it doesn't take a lot of force to cut through it.
