The input end of the differential was spraying oil under the car and accumulations of oil were running down the battery cover. The first picture shows the input flange and pitted seal surface with close-up in the second picture. Speedi-sleeve 99150 is the remedy along with a new 88G320 oil seal.

Judging by the circle of pitting and geometry of the sleeve, I decided to follow Instruction 6 and remove the sleeve flange after fitting. Instruction 6 is not clear on how deep the cut in the flange should be and I stopped it at the tangent point of the sleeve to flange radius fearing that if I cut deeper the flange would break off during driving in to position, fifth picture.
This proved to be a mistake since it was very difficult to tear the flange beyond the cut so it would split off at the break line. The sixth picture shows the sleeve in position and the seventh shows the flange as torn off. If I were doing this again I would cut the flange down to the break line.
