REAMING the Front Suspension BRONZE BUSHINGS -- FS-201
Page 7 of 9
As you are finishing the reamer cut, you will see the guidance sleeve come out of the end of the bushing. No problem here, as the reamer is nearly all the way through the bushing, and the flutes of the reamer will keep it in precise 'alignment for the rest of the cut. Go a little easier on the lever force as you are finishing the cut so the reamer does not grab in the bushing. Once the reamer has cut all the way through the length of the bushing you can remove the reamer from which ever end of the bore is most convenient. Keep turning the reamer in the normal cutting direction as you push it out of the bore.
