TORFLEX AXLE With Rubber Torsion Springs - TH-101A2
This could be a very good suspension setup for a very small light weight tag-along trailer. The one above is built from a car top carrier sitting on a rectangular tubular metal frame with a Torflex axle underneath.

"Easy 4 bolt mounting. Rides beautifully and no leaf springs to break.
"Torflex will make the axle width to the buyers specification; also set various angles for the short independent trailing arms; either up, even, or down for the desired ride height. They will also set preload on the rubber springs.
"I don't think shocks are needed with these axles. I have a larger trailer (homemade that I haul the red car on), also with a Torflex axle. It's done many highway miles with no issues. The rubber medium seems to dampen quite well".
Dexter builds the torsion axles. You build the trailer. - Dexter web site
