Here we go some more, on to a new owner and the fourth generation of modifications on this car. Hopefully we now have a determined caretaker, so this might eventually get finished and back on the road again.

It seems the previous owner did scrap the MGA chassis and install the body on an S-10 frame. A lot of cutting took place. It looks like all work stopped at that point.
This summer, work started to complete it as originally planned. (similar direction anyway) It is now back on an MGA chassis.

"My Father, John Burgess, is building the car. - He has been restoring MGAs for many years now. This has become a bit of an MG community project. Several people have donated parts in the effort to get this back on the road again. I have been helping with parts, and some sheet metal fabrication.
Dad got the car in July, in southern Ontario. He removed the Chevrolet chassis shortly after. An MG vintage racer, Jim Holody, donated an MGA frame. It has been stripped, painted and fastened to the body. Thanks to your site, we now know what the sheet metal looked in 2006. The plan is to fabricate something similar. Possibly in aluminum. The heater shelf, front and rear bulkheads, and floors are aluminum and ready to install.
Lino Baggio, another MG racer provided the transportation and donated an MGB engine. It was installed today. We have to find a few parts before the MGA gearbox can go in. The suspension is almost complete. Again, a few parts have to be sourced.
The big issue is the windshield glass. We assume it is something 'common', but what. Can anyone out there help with that??

"A photo of the engine in the car. The rear axle assembly was provided by MGA builder Mike Finch. It's great to have so many friends involved in the project. Hopefully the remaining bits arrive soon so the car can roll before winter. The last photo shows the inside of the LF fender, looking back toward the door pillar. You can see the silver side vent on the right, and a joint in the fender about midway through the vent opening. Can anyone identify the door post and hinge plates? (another clue..)
