That’s right - it’s only 2 more months until the kick off of the 2004 driving season and the inaugural event of the new Triple Crown Endurance Rally Series - the 9th Annual Missouri Endurance Rally and 2nd Missouri Mini-Endurance Trial.

The stop locations have been picked and I’m busy making some new hand-made trophies. Trophies for 2002 were clocks made out of pistons, 2003 were plaques with knock-offs, what will 2004’s be?!?!?

We had 19 teams last year compete in the full endurance rally and 8 in the mini. Hopefully we’ll beat both of those numbers this year to get off to a great start for the Triple Crown. Remember that the second leg - the Grand Lake Tour - will be held inconjunction with University Motor’s Summer Party Reunion and the Abingdon Endurance Trials will be in October starting from Columbus, Indiana. If you haven’t made your hotel reservations for the Twist party, you’d better make them ASAP because they are filling up fast.

Speaking of hotel reservations, we will be at the Red Roof Inn Westport again. They are going to let us use their conference room again this year. When you make your reservations, please let them know that you will be with the “MG Club Endurance Rally” so that way they will know how many we got so they will continue to let us use the room for free and keep costs down. Their number is 314-991-4900.

A local cable access show has asked to film our rally for use on their program. We’ll all be famous! Spread the word!
