The Steering Column
Nothing like waiting until the last minute to write this article. It is early morning on Memorial Day and this is due this morning. For those of you who went to the Champagne British Car Festival, I hope it was dry. I do know that regardless of the weather you all had a great time. Somehow I wish I could make all events.
We are reaching the halfway point of the clubs anniversary year. Most of the special plans and ideas have now been started. As such, we are looking for historic pictures. If you have any pictures from years past and would like to share them, we would really like to have a copy. When sending in the pictures, include the date and place of the event. We now have in stock (thanks to Larry Daniels) anniversary fender covers and in a short time (this time thanks to Don Anderson) some very special MGB silver models. Don’t forget to mark your calendars with the October 15, 2001 special anniversary Club meeting.
This month is also a special month for me, personally. I am now hitting my mid-life, that’s assuming that I live to be 100. And in a shameless fashion, I will have a small bribe for any one that comes to next months meeting.
Until next moth (or driving event) “Safety Fast” to all of you.
