PAST EVENTS:
SPRING TUNE UP PARTY
Maynard gave a rundown of some of the problems found, like a fault with wiring up a light switch with a/c compressor, some brake cylinder work (easy on a lift). We had a couple of TD's, a TF, MGA's, and of course, quite a few B's. Good tune up party, even though a bit cool that day.
AACA Car Sow - Gray's Lake
Jim mentioned beside many beautiful cars, there were a number of things to look at: tools, polishes, books, clothes - never can tell what you'll find.
SPRING TOUR
Bill had 14 cars show up at his house in Geneva for the latest Spring Chicken Rally (now tour). Cars left about 3:00 PM and neighbors really enjoyed the cars! Beautiful Scenery - good roads, a lot of fun! Could have been warmer, but good time had by all.
CURRENT CAR PROJECTS:
Barney reported great progress on the "A". Outer panels ready to paint, little touch up on chassis and with a little commitment to NAMGAR, should be done in a little less than a month!
Seth reported a dented falcon exhaust system to be redone at Vanilla-Gorilla. It is going to be powder coated!
Someone (I didn't get who) reported freeing up a rusted on axle
Library Muse
This month I am asking for a couple of favors. First, if anyone knows where I can get a copy, or has a copy, of the video Dr. Doolins MG Engine Rebuild, would they please let me know? I have had several requests for this and I can’t find it anywhere. The club used to have it, but it’s been lost. Secondly, if you have any library materials out for more than four or five months could you please get them back?
For the June meeting, in addition to our large collection of books and videos, we will be adding a copy of Ghost Tracks, a new book by Pete Hylton. Come on out and make a selection from our inventory for your summer reading.
