The 2012 Vintage & Chicagoland MG Club Christmas Party
The Vintage and Chicagoland MG Clubs held their combined Christmas event on Saturday, December 8th at the Bella Vista Banquets in Bensenville, Illinois. The Christmas Party was again well attended with approx. 80 MG enthusiasts there.
This year we went with an upgraded the menu, livened up the decorations and even went all out on the door prizes with items such as Craftsmen tools, oil, coolant, I-Go power chargers and gift certificates. The event started about 6 PM with cocktails and a good deal of comradely. Dinner was served
at 7PM. Vic L’Heureux again played the role as Master of Ceremonies and dressed for the part is a tuxedo and “red” cummerbund.
There was a special rendition of “Rudolph” conducted by Win Gould and the Vintage Gang! The crowd went wild and Vic had to step in to keep things in order. It really was a great time for all!!
Next came a visit from Santa and one his trusty “adult” elves. Joe Elf. Joe conducted the door prize announcement and Santa presided over this by sitting in his chair and making sure all the boys and girls that came up were asked if they were naughty or nice.
For those of you in the club that have not been to our MG Christmas Party, please consider it for next year. It is a great way to meet other members and make new friends!
