MG Holiday Party 2015
December 5, 2015
On December 5th the MG faithful gathered at Wheatstack in Lisle, IL to celebrate the Holiday Season in style. The turnout this year was the largest gathering for many years with 93 members of the Vintage MG Car Club and the Chicagoland MG Club in attendance. The members began the evening with the traditional cocktail hour and comradery before sitting down to a delightful selection of entrées and side dishes.
Vic L'Heureux acted as this year's MC with CMGC President David Novak, initiated the evening’s itinerary.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Holiday Party if it were not for a visit from the jolly man himself and his trusty head elf—Teddy.
There were some final tweeks to the naughty/nice list tawht hade to be rectified and a few of our members were on the list.
Again this year Reinout Vogt (Driving Events Coordinator) starting off with club driving awards. Reinout presented a number of driving awards for best driver-navigator, event placement and a number of other categories. He did this in a very efficient and timely manner.
Rich Meservey and Sundy Mead were the recipients of the Moss Motors Trophy for Club Championship in driving events participation.
Jim Compton and Bob Dorley were the big winners of the evening with earning the Victoria British Trophy or Competition Championship and 2nd place for the Moss Motors Trophy for Club Championship in driving events participation.
