The Amtrak schedule to South Bend will remove a few hours from our weekend which can be spent at a Union Station gathering point, generally the space now named The Junction Pub (http://www.chicagounionstation.com/retail_guide.html).

Friday 20 Jan.—Depart Union Station Chicago at 6:40 P.M. on train 30, the Capitol Limited. Get to South Bend at about 9:10 P.M. EST.       Sunday 22 Jan.—Depart Amtrak Station in South Bend on train 49 or 449, the Lake Shore Limited at 8:49 A.M. Arrive in Chicago at 9:45 CST.

The train now costs as little as $15 one way but this price will go up the closer we get to departure.
