A Humble Note of Thanks & Commitment from Your New Treasurer (Our Minister of Finance)
My name is Ralph Arata and I am most thankful to you for placing your trust (and all that wonderful club money) in my hands. As your new Minister of Finance (whoops, I mean treasurer) I will faithfully carry out the duties that the membership has entrusted me with.
Susan and I have been members of the Chicagoland MG Club for several years and have enjoyed its people and activities. I have written articles for the newsletter and have participated in some club activities but this is my first chance to really give back to our organization.
Having said this, I must admit that making many of the club meetings with be challenging (as they have always been for me) as I travel a good deal and am away from Chicago 75% of the time. However, I have been assured by your outgoing Treasurer that the duties entrusted to me are accomplished without the requirement of making most meetings. It is important for the membership to understand that although you may not see me at many meetings, I am both very happy and committed to the accountabilities you have given me.
There has already been one transitional meeting (I was in attendance) and there will be many more over the course of the 2010 year.
It is most interesting to finally get more involved with the workings of the club but especially in making

even better friends than I already have.
I would like to take a moment to introduce Sheik Raoul to you. The “Sheik” will help me with financial matters and may even attend some of the meetings. I have included a picture of Sheik Raoul as he does tend to fade into the background somewhat.
