Chicagoland MG Club: Driveline February 2018

Post cards from Karel

An ‘Auto’biography of History

This card is from Lago Maggiore in the Italien Piedmont Region. The MG in the foreground is a ZA Magnette with a nice sunroof

Reinout’s note: The small island in the lake is Isola Bella, which means Beautiful Island. Using Street View in Google Maps I was able to find the exact same spot. The buildings on the island and the view of the mountain in the background have not changed much, but the outside terrace on the right looks very different. On the postcard you can just see the ‘Hotel’ sign on the railing. Today it is called Hotel Villa Ruscello. The white car next to the MG reminds me of a Fiat, but I wouldn’t know the model.
