Snow... Rain... Sleet… Ice… What is going on? I’ve been watching the weather report for the entire month now and we really haven’t had a break since the end of last year. I wanted to get my car on the road one more time to try to recreate a fuel starvation problem I was experiencing last year on the last tour of the season. I didn’t have an opportunity then to fully diagnose the problem hoping to have at least one day later on. No such luck.
Now would be a great time to narrow down a possible solution to the problem and obtain the required parts to solve the problem. There is always a part at fault – I just don’t want to replace everything! With the Swap Meet looming in the near future I’ll need to make up my shopping list.
I dislike wasting time, so to make me feel like I was doing something, I shoveled a path to the 4-car heated garage behind the house and went inside. It was quite inviting. The temperature was about 55° and dry. I grabbed a beer from the fridge and walked around the ’67 MGB sitting idle in front of me. I opened the driver’s door and got in. I really wanted to go for a ride, but that’s not going to happen. I got out and puttered around a bit. Putting away some tools left out, cleaned off the workbench and made a list of things that needed to be attended to when it got warmer. I finished the beer heading back to the house for a nap. No need to rush into things…
