Well, I am sitting here at the computer, the day before the swap meet looking out over the fresh snow. I think that we got off lucky with this. There is less than an inch and they were predicting far worse. Swap Meet day is supposed to be sunny and in the low 40’s. I don’t think that we can get much better than that!!!
A couple of weeks ago we had a spring teaser with some 50 degree weather. On my way home from work I saw several motorcycles out running around. Well, if they can do it so can I. I removed the cover from the Midget, crossed my fingers and turned the key. It revved right up on the first try. So I ran around town a little bit. Upon seeing more motorcycles out there I decided it was time to drop the top. They were crazier than I was. It was great to be out there wishing for summer again.
Hopefully all of you attended the swap meet and
were able to get those couple of things you need for that final project before the driving season.
See you on the road, Safety Fast,
Happy Motoring,
-- Bill Reese

Cabin fever is driving me nuts, and wow did we
have the snow! It took hours just to see a driveway after all that plowing. Hopefully that’s the last of the big blizzard.
January’s monthly meeting was a low turnout of 22 members. Even some staff members were missing.
Some due to the weather and one due to a family emergency. Towards the end of the meeting we met one our newest baby member Lyman Jones (son of Seth Jones). Who had this to say “da, da da, da goo, goo goo da”…..
and the gavel came down and the meeting was adjourned.
Come join us at the monthly Natter ‘n’ Noggin’s
during this winter season. It is a sure way of getting rid of cabin fever plus it’s just another excuse for getting out of the house. Come join us at this monthly event. The location info is in the Driveline. Or maybe try out the new garage tours being scheduled to get your car out on the roa.
I’m still working on my car project collecting little parts and pieces like the convertible snaps and tab covers. Stitching the patterns on the door panels and kick panels along with carpeting the rear deck in light grey should finish the interior. Color is not original but a retro look - I hope this works.
It was great to have the Vintage MG Car Club gathering at the annual Holiday Party.
