2010 Club Awards
Below is the list of additional awards earned in during the 2010 Driving Season. Our sincere thanks to all the members that helped
organize and sponsor the Driving Events and to all the members who took part in these fun activities.
Moss Motors Trophy - Driver of the year
This trophy is for the driver who accumulated the most points in all events over the entire 2010 season. It is no surprise that it is important to attend as many as possible events, or to score consistently very high in the competitive events to place high for the Moss Motors Trophy. Doing both of these is a sure way to be in the running for top honors. And that is what Barney Gaylord did. Victor L’Heureux came to many events, but failed to score in the rallies, while Kim Tonry did the exact opposite and did only four events, but three were rallies where he scored very well.

Victoria British Trophy - Navigator of the year
This trophy is for the navigator, or co-driver, who accumulated the most points in all events over the entire 2010 season. Because most teams of the 2010 Diving Events didn’t change, and consisted of couples or family members, the results are very similar to the Moss Motors Trophy. That may change in coming years when there might be more rallies, autocrosses, or other scored events such as parts contests. The strategy of the 2010 navigators Teresa Gaylord, Penny L’Heureux, and Diane Tonry was the same as for the drivers above.

Endurance Award - Most events without placing in the Top 3
This recognition is awarded for participating in the most events amongst all teams that didn’t accumulate enough points to place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the Moss Motors or Victoria British Trophies. Maybe participating was more important than winning or maybe they tried very hard but were not successful. Either way this year’s recipients, Dino and Lisa Perez, were just about everywhere in their unique RV8.

Rally Award - Highest score in rallies
The total score of just the rallies is likely to bring forward the same teams that also did well in the Moss Motors and Victoria British Trophies. But the recognition goes to the team that just failed to place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in those. Ralph came in 3rd. But he did one rally with his brother instead of Susan, who came in 4th, a tie with many other codrivers. But the Arata team qualifies for the Rally Award
