Spring Chicken Run May 31, 2015 The weather here has been nuts, but it is not too early to be thinking about the Spring Chicken run. We will have a different event this year as we will end at a restaurant. We will still have a driving event with challenges to master. Keep an eye out for the announcement, but keep May 31 as the day for the event. ~~George Phariss

The MG Car Club of Toronto has been selected to host the NAMGBR convention this year— for the third time. The club's experience in hosting such events assures you an awesome program with lots of fun and camaraderie.  here is so much to do in the Niagara Region that you will be well advised to come early and stay late. Dust off your passport and come over to the 'other' side for a visit.

Roger and Shirley Goebbert, Oscar and Diana Gonzales, Ann and I had dinner on one of those cold snowy evenings and worked out a plan for the drive to MG 2015. We will meet at the Lincoln Oasis on I-294 at 7:30 on Sunday, June 7 for Niagara Falls. We will spend Sunday night in London, Ontario. We will finish the drive on Monday June 8, in time for registration and check in at the hotel. Please check out the website at www.MG2015.com for schedule of events and pictures. You will see a very good selection of T’s, A’s, and probably quite a few post Abingdon MG’s.

This is a great opportunity to show off your MG and meet some really nice and knowledgeable people. There are many opportunities for fun and education.

It is time to register for the event if you haven’t already done so. Ann and I plan to attend Wednesday’s car show and the awards banquet and magic show on Thursday. We will drive our MG, but that is not a requirement. The deadline for early registration is May 1st for NAMGBR members. Register soon so you don’t miss the banquet and magic show. There is on-line or mail-in registration available on the site. If you want to join us for the drive, let us know.

Note:   The host hotel is sold out. The alternate hotel is the Ramada Plaza. If you think you might attend. The organizers have a wait list started for the Americana Resort they suggest booking at the Ramada and sending them an email requesting a place on the wait list. Check the event web site for information.
