Spring Tune-up
Don’s Auto Ade

 For the fourth year Don’s Auto Aid (Goodyear) will be hosting the annual tune-up party. This is your opportunity to put your MG up on a service rack and see your car from the bottom up. Squishy brake hoses? Soft motor mounts? Suspension bushings looking a little sick? Now’s the time to find out before the driving season arrives in full. Of course I’ll be there to offer expert advice for any problem that may surface. Well, I can at least tell you who to see about it. Cowboy and others will be there to help out.
There is a Car Quest just up the street, but it would be best to bring your own 20w50 and filters. As Don’s is a full service garage, all work must be finished so that the racks are open for business Monday morning. Tire mounting, including on wire wheels, and alignments will be available. Don’s is located on the east side of Rte. 59 about a mile north of the E/W tollway. Afterwards it’s off to Two Brothers Brewery for refreshments.

2017 Spring Chicken
Run

I hope you have saved the date of Sunday, May 7 for this year’s Spring Chicken Run. We are almost a month earlier this year, so we hope the global warming continues.
We will be starting at the same place at the Deer Park Town Center shopping mall on the northwest corner of Rand Road, Hwy 12 and Deer Park Blvd. in the same lot as last year, next to the Starbucks. It is easy to see once you are at the strip mall. There is also a Panara Bakery just across from the Starbucks.
The center of the mall where we meet is on the west side of Hwy 12 for the new-bees that will be joining us. We will start the Drivers Meeting at 10:00am. The drive will be approximately 1 1/2 hours and we will end up at the same local watering hole as 2015, where you can order lunch from the menu. Yes, they have chicken along with other items.
The spot is Cruisin, located in Gilberts. The address is 11 Galligan Rd, Gilberts, IL 60136, for those that just want to join us for lunch.
