Post cards from Karel

An ‘Auto’biography of History

This month Karel send us a postcard from Stow on the Wold in the UK with a MG TC with license plate CVE 700. Karel also found a recent photo of a TC with the same plate on Google (it is unknown if it is really the same car).

Reinout’s notes: The van in the back ground looks much like a Bedford panel van. The first series of these, the CA, was produced between 1952 and 1969. I don’t know the cars right behind the TC but they appear to be older, maybe even pre-WWII. I guess it would have been a common sight in the mid-fifties to see a ‘modern’ commercial vehicle along side older and maybe even pre-war automobiles at the same time parked on a relatively quite city center square.
