So what’s up with Autocross? Well to be honest we haven’t yet finalized the autocross dates for this year but I’ve picked out three that look like they will work in our calendar.

Coming up, May 5th is our first Autocross of this year’s driving season. We will be joining our friends with the Windy City Miata Club at Boomers Stadium in Schaumberg. Remember to register two weeks before (April 20th) at www.motorsportreg.com . So it’s time to get your car ready. So why am I talking about Autocross? Well I want to encourage everyone to think about coming out this year. Also, The Austin-Healey club has asked our help in trying to find a location for their gymkhana this year. We would do this as a joint club event with the Healey club.

We need a big parking lot somewhere in the Chicago area. It needs to be empty on the date or dates of our events. If we can find this lot. We may be able to run a couple of half-day autocrosses with the Healey club. Many of the folks that have come out in the past have expressed interest in only doing a half day event. The Miata club autocrosses are a great value but, they are also a whole day event.
