President Dino Perez opened the meeting at 8:00 pm.

Car Projects
Seth Jones noted that he was assisting a friend with a number of problems with his ’73 Midget.

Upcoming Events: - (additional information available on the CMGC website.)
Autocross – 3/25 – This year we will participate in four autocross events; the first to be with the Miata Club of Chicago. This event will take place at Alexian Field in Schaumburg. Driver and car race against time through a marked course, hardly ever getting past 1st gear. No special modifications are needed on your car and minimal safety equipment is required. Contact Joel-Paul Brossard for more details.

Spring Tune-up – 4/28 – This event will again be held at Mark Leuck’s Quality Tire facility in Willowbrook. This is Mark’s 27th year of hosting this event. We will then be going to Roundhead’s Pizza for a post-tune up party.

Spring Chicken Run – 5/20 – George Phariss will sponsor this event this year. The Run will start in Deer Park and finish at George’s home in Ivanhoe. The Run will be about 90 miles of driving – maybe 2 hours total.

Garage Sale – 6/16 – Once again there will be a sale of miscellaneous car parts stored in the CMGC storage locker. Many items are not available anywhere else and could be yours for a nominal price. Come by and look through the bins for unique treasures. Jim Evans is the contact for more information.

Special Presentation
Dan Herman and Rob Bard were in Florida on April 9-11th and attended the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. A slide presentation with narratives highlighted the fabulous cars presented. The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance is an automotive charitable event held each year during the second weekend in March on the Amelia Island Golf Links at Amelia Island, Florida.

50-50 Raffle –
Rob Bard went home $8 richer after having the winning ticket.

MGB Brake Booster Rebuild and Master Cylinder Rebuild

We will disassemble and rebuild a rubber bumper brake master cylinder as well as the brake booster unit. Installation includes a 4 wheel brake bleed with EZ-Bleed unit + backyard tricks. All members welcome. Rain date: n/a as most work will be inside the garage.

CMGC Garage Sale June 16, 2012 Over the years we have acquired lots of MG parts—some donated, some just showed up at our doorstop. In the past, we have sold smaller parts via eBay, some larger parts ( doors, transmissions, etc.) we hauled to the February Swap Meet for sale. Even through these efforts, we still have lots of stuff left. Well, we need to clean out our storage locker in Addison and get these parts in the hands of folks that can use them. So, on Saturday June 16th (time to be determined next month) we will have an ‘open house’ Garage Sale for CMGC members. No reasonable offer refused—terrific bargains galore! ~~Jim Evans
