The MG Car Club of Toronto has been selected to host the NAMGBR convention this year— for the third time. The club's experience in hosting such events assures you an awesome program with lots of fun and camaraderie.  here is so much to do in the Niagara Region that you will be well advised to come early and stay late. Dust off your passport and come over to the 'other' side for a visit.

Roger and Shirley Goebbert, Oscar and Diana Gonzales, Ann and I had dinner on one of those cold snowy evenings and worked out a plan for the drive to MG 2015. We will meet at the Lincoln Oasis on I-294 at 7:30 on Sunday, June 7 for Niagara Falls. We will spend Sunday night in London, Ontario. We will finish the drive on Monday June 8, in time for registration and check in at the hotel. Please check out the website at www.MG2015.com for schedule of events and pictures. In addition to MGB’s, C’s, Midgets and 1100’s you will see a very good selection of T’s, A’s, and probably quite a few post Abingdon MG’s. This is a great opportunity to show off your MG and meet some really nice and knowledgeable people. There will be self-guided tours of the area, including scenery and wineries. There are other non-car related events.

It is time to register for the event if you haven’t already done so. Ann and I plan to attend Wednesday’s car show and the awards banquet and magic show on Thursday. We will drive our MG, but that is not a requirement. Early registration ended May 1st. Registration for the event is till available at the regular rate for anyone who wishes to attend.. Register soon so you don’t miss the banquet and magic show. There is on-line or mail-in registration available on the site.

Note:  The last I heard, there are a limited number of rooms at the host hotel. The alternate hotel is the Ramada Plaza. If you want to join us for the drive, let us know. We are looking forward to a great event.

GT-40 is planned for June 15 – 19, 2015, in Frankenmuth, MI. The Michigan Rowdies will be the host club for this GT and believe that the city of Frankenmuth will prove to be a unique city for a GT. This will be the Michigan Chapter’s fourth time to host a national meet.

Frankenmuth is known as Michigan’s Little Bavaria and takes great pride in preserving its German heritage. The host hotel is the Bavarian Inn Lodge, a German themed hotel that has lots of extras to keep any visitor busy during their stay. In addition to some planned unique events, GT-40 will also celebrate the 60th anniversary of the introduction of the MGA 1500. All 1500 owners are urged to attend to help join in the celebration. Put Frankenmuth down as a destination for June of 2015 and enjoy another unique GT.
