Land’s End Rally
June 23, 2018

Come one come All to the Lands’ End Rally. This year’s Rally proves to be a very delightful drive through the Woodlands of the south west roads of Cook and DuPage Counties.

The starting point is still yet to be determined but we'll end up again at the Historic Del Rhea's Chicken Basket on the ol' Rt. 66. There will be a few challenges along the way, so you'll want to brush up on to tune up specs as well as navigator driving and throwing. I'm not at liberty to say just what will be thrown but I promise it won't be the Driver from the Car!

The drivers meeting will be at 9:30am with the first MG starting at 10:00. All MGs will start out first with non-MG to follow.

Looking forward to a BIG turnout this year for your President's second attempt at the Lands’ End Rally. Hope to see you June 23rd.

Golf Course Tour (Doug G. Clark)
& 19th Hole Picnic (Jerry Cihak)
Sat. 21st July 2018 - 11:00 a.m.

FORE!! Calling all CMGC and VMGCC MG (and golf ball?) drivers! Come to the 1st Annual Golf Course Tour & Picnic. We will meet in the car park outside of Starbucks at the south end of the Burr Ridge Village Center>/i> at 10:30 a.m. for a 11:00 tee time, er, tour start.

We will cover 18 courses (not holes) in southern Cook & DuPage counties, and perhaps in Will County as well, over 60-90 minutes before we arrive at Jerry Cihak's house in Indian Head Park for a 19th hole picnic / cookout.

The Chicagoland area is the home of many well-known and historic golf courses - public, private, 9 / 18 / 27 / 36 holes. Some have hosted PGA, LPGA, and USGA tournaments. "Interesting" factoids about the courses will be provided with the driving directions. (Plus...there might even be a surprise contest...)

Let's drive our British cars on this day - the third round of the British Open held this year at Scotland's Carnoustie Golf Links.
