Drive-In Movie outing
June 22, 2013
This was the first time for this event, and based on the participation, we look forward to doing it again.
We met at the Cascade Drive-in in West Chicago, IL for a nostalgic evening. The weather was perfect for this outing—a warm night and a light breeze to keep the bugs away. Most folks brought their lawn chairs and snacks, although a few visited the snack bar for the traditional movie goodies.
There were 13 cars forming two rows together near center stage for viewing. By coincidence, the green cars were on the right, red cars on the left (with a burgundy and a yellow Corvette in the mix).
Many of the drive-in guests came by to look at the cars before the movies started. It was a great evening out.
Wisdom
It makes no difference how quickly your MG will accelerate if it cannot stop! The proper functioning of your brakes must ALWAYS be at the top of your list of priorities. You owe this degree of safety to yourself, your passenger, and all others on the road.
