Russ Mehaffey and I are the co-chairs for the WCBT and on May 14th we took our first trip/review of the tour for 2016. This is the first of many updates to familiarize club members with what the tour will be like this year!

On Friday Sept 16 we will meet at the "new" LaQuinta Inn (formerly the Comfort Inn Rockford). The former Comfort Inn which the club has used in previous years is completely refurbished. It quite a place now!! There is a Chicagoland MG Club block of rooms reserved for us. We will again have dinner at the JMK Nippon Restaurant.

Saturday will be a pure driving day as we tour through the Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive featuring the Historic Race Circuit of Elkhart Lake.

Russ and I are still working on the hotel and restaurant for Saturday. The Holiday Inn in Port Washington was booked with 2 weddings and so our search continues for a great place to dine and spend on Saturday evening. Once this is settled there will be additional information for reservations on Saturday. In the meantime, if you wish to make your reservation for Friday, please feel free to using the Chicagoland MG Club name sake and the contact information listed above.

Sunday we drive to the Cedarburg Fall Festival where all are on their own to walk the festival streets filled with artists,

vendors and events. The pumpkin boat race is a hilarious must-see!! For our new members and those that have not been on a WCBT, this a great time to better know our club and make new friends.
