The itinerary was well planned and communicated well to us. Our packets included a day-by-day description of events. Day one, was meet and greet and welcome to new attendees. Day two, was early morning yoga for those who wished to extend their limbs -- just saying -- a trip to a lavender farm, lunch at a winery, and tech sessions. Day three, included more tech sessions, participation in a Funkhana or scouting out on your own with a drive along the Michigan coastline. Kudos to the event planners for making this part of our gathering so enjoyable. Also, on this day we gathered as a group to have dinner and talk about cars, family, cars, work, cars and did I mention cars? Then guess what? Back to the hotel for some more partying and talk about, cars.



Day four, show day we all gathered onto the field by The Village at the Grand Traverse Commons to display our cars but not before a car wash. Our hotel provided us with hoses, buckets soap and sponges. The field was wild with people voting for their favorite cars and the ogling and picture taking was crazy. At 10:30am there was a rocker cover race. This is a definite must-see race, for kids and adults. After the show we partied some more and at 6:00 pm we gathered for hors d’oeuvre and drinks. Dinner was great and we had a blast sitting with our friends. Always good to see everyone dressed for the occasion.

Richard Liddick, Chairman – North American MGB Register (NAMGBR) introduced NAMGBR officers, recognition of attendees, past and present, event volunteers and presented the “John Thornley Spirit of MG” award, presentation of events award, car show rally, Funkhana, rocker cover races, photos, models and craft awards. In all a very big day for NAMGBR awards. Congratulations to everyone!

Other speakers included Peter Cook, Oversees Director, M.G. Car Club U.K. discussing the work, he’s doing across the pond. Finally, a beautiful presentation of MG 2020 gathering in Calgary, Alberta Canada will we see you there?

After the banquet? You guessed it, partying and more talk discussion about cars.
