Chuck fabricated many of the fiberglass panels in this project.
Factory-built Victress cars were built on either a Ford or a custom chassis and usually had small-block Chevrolet engines. Chuck has beefed-up the chassis with additional steel to stiffen the frame.
A Victress S1A (similar to this one) was featured in the 1954 movie Johnny Dark which starred Tony Curtis and Piper Laurie.
Under reconstruction was a 1950’s era Victress fiberglass sports car – one of only a handful in existence. The more recognizable car of our age was the gorgeous red 1965 Jaguar XK-E. A dream car by anybody’s standards.
