CMGC President Bill Reece opened the meeting at 8:00.

Past Events
Lucas ‘before evening’ Rally– 6/25 - Dino Perez summarized the rally as a success – even though this was his first. The day was nice for a drive and the event was well managed.
VMGCCC ‘Tally Ho’ Rally – 7/10 – The 45-mile rally was sponsored by the Vintage MG Car Club of Chicago and was well attended by members of both clubs.
Road America Vintage Race & Camping trip – 7/15-17/11 – Jake Snyder noted that there was lower attendance that in past years but those that attended got their ‘moneys’ worth’.
Secrets of Jo Daviess County Tour – 7/15-17 – Dan Herman presented a recap video presentation of this popular event including a discussion on the repair of Larry’s Midget ignition problems. Good turnout for this extremely hot tour.

AHCA Track Day – 8/5 – Dave Bralich noted that this event is a drivers education track day for vintage sports

cars sponsored by Midwest Region, Austin Healey Club of America. The event takes place at Blackhawk Farms Raceway 15538 Prairie Road, South Beloit. You will need to submit a registration form for this event that can be found on the website: www.wrcresearch.com/trackday. Contact Bill Mennell for more details.
Orphan Auto Picnic – 8/21 –This event to be held at the Kendall County fairgrounds will have British cars as the marque this year. There is a valid ‘Special Event’ license plate available for purchase from the State of Illinois. Bill Cole will be the club contact for this event, with questions to wmcolesr@att.net, or 847-437-2036. British cars will be under the enclosure, and we will try to keep MGs together.
British Car Fest – 9/11 – Dean Swanson noted that members should have received an invitation brochure in the mail this week announcing the event. Dean reminded club members that our organization is part of the British Union and have a responsibility of providing marshaling for the event. A sign-up sheet was passed around. More details will be coming.
Wine, Cheese & Beer Tour – 9/16-18 – John Schroeder remarked that this year the tour will take place in western Wisconsin and eastern Iowa. The route has been established and hotel information will be in the Driveline and on-line shortly.
50/50 Raffle – Dan Herman went home $21 richer. Kim Tonry took home Lucas memorabilia and Vic L’Heureux was the proud recipient of microfiber cleaning supplies.
