 The British Car Festival features one of the finest displays of British cars and motorcycles in the USA. Where else could you experience Aston Martin, Austin, Austin-Healey, Bentley, Triumph, MG, Lotus, Morris, Morgan, Jaguar, Jensen Healey, Mini Cooper, Sunbeam, English Ford, Delorean, Metropolitan, Land Rover, Riley, Rolls Royce and TVR vehicles so close and personal? This is your chance to talk with the owners, make new friends and maybe...shop around for that British vehicle you've always dreamed of owning!
Any British auto or motorcycle qualifies and may be registered to participate. All registrant show vehicles must carry valid and current registration and insurance coverage per state liability requirements. Any individual can attend to view as a spectator free of charge.
Registration is $25.00 for the first vehicle and $5.00 per additional vehicle. Event polo and tee shirts should be pre-ordered due to on site shirt supplies being very limited.

Falcon Nesting in a Tree

2013 Wine, Cheese, and Beer
LOL Tour
September 20 – 22, 2013
Well, we have been east, west, and north (several times), so this year we are going south. South along old Route 66 to be exact. We will pass through many of the small towns that earned 66 one of its nicknames, America’s Main Street. Friday night dinner will be at the Del Rhea Chicken Basket where we can sample some of their exclusive Route 66 beer. We will lunch in Pontiac, IL before touring the Route 66 Hall of Fame and Museum. We will visit a restored 1932 Standard Oil Gas Station in Odell, IL. In Atlanta, we will see our second gentle giant before stopping at the Octagonal public library. Saturday night dinner will be in Springfield. On Sunday we will tour the Abraham Lincoln Museum. We will have lunch in Springfield before heading north towards home. We will officially end the tour after lunch, but Ann and I will drive back on old 66 so we can enjoy ice cream at the Polka Dot in Braidwood. Any of you who wish are welcome to come with us!
Here is hotel information: Friday night we have 25 rooms blocked at the La Quinta Inn in Willowbrook. It is just east of Route 83 at 855 79th Street. Their phone number is 630 654-0077. You can call the hotel directly and ask for a room from the Chicagoland MG Club block. All rooms are $89.00. There are 15 rooms with 2 beds and 10 with a single king.
In Springfield, we will be staying at the Comfort Inn and Suites. We have 35 rooms blocked under the Chicagoland MG Club. Their number is 217 753-4000.
We will meet for a driver’s meeting at 8:00 AM on Saturday in the La Quinta parking lot. Departure time will be 8:30.
In case you are wondering, even though we will be having lots of fun and laughs on this tour, LOL stands for Land of Lincoln!
