29 Members & guests in attendance
CMGC vice-president Ray Hansen opened the meeting at 8:00 pm. Ray welcomed new member Steve Harman to the meeting.
Car Projects
Doug Clark related an event that happened recently. While driving his 1968 MGC he heard a strange snap sound from his wheel area. The sound continued while he was driving, so after a visual inspection and finding nothing obvious, he carefully limped home. After a closer inspection he found that two internal wheel spokes had broken.
Seth Jones has been working with Steve Sparks on an idling problem with his 1965 Midget. No solution yet to the problem.
Steve Harman’s 1957 MGA has a rear seal leak. Steve Skegg is working on it now.
Technical Session
Dave Bralich has recently replaced a number of brake lines in his car and has spent a number of hours mastering the technique of making a double flair brake line. Dave demonstrated the tools needed and a few tricks he learned during his trials. To make your life easier Dave recommends a good quality flaring tool.
Break/ 50:50 raffle – CMGC member – Steve Harman -- was the winner of $14.
