Thanks were also given to Dan and Mary Kerkman for assisting John and Ann in planning and driving along on trips to check the route. While John and Ann are retiring from planning and running the Wine, Cheese,& Beer Tour, it isn’t going away. Russ Mahaffey and Ralph Arata were introduced as co-conspirators to continue the search for Wine. Cheese. And Beer.

Saturday dawned with brilliant sunshine, but dark clouds on the western horizon, while we took a group photo by the park on the lakefront by the hotel. This concluded the formal events for the weekend and the participants headed out in search of breakfast or over to nearby Cedarburg for the fall Wine & Harvest Festiva.

The search for Wine Cheese and Beer via beautiful back roads throughout the Midwest over the last decade has also led us to lighthouses, Shakespearian plays, prairie architecture, round barns, 18th century Americana, ice cream, parking lot parties and many other treats and delights. May the road go ever on?
